School Lunches

IMPORTANT NEWS – Reception, Year 1 & 2 Children

From September 2014 – Reception, year 1 and 2 children – will receive universal free school meals which are being funded by the Government.

PLEASE NOTE – if you are entitled to ‘free school meals’ please continue to apply for these as this directly effects the large amount of funding the school receives to support the children with their learning.  Please follow this link to see if you are eligible.

Payment Procedures – Children in Years 3, 4, 5 & 6

The school office are not able to accept cash any longer, having taken the decision to become a cashless office.   All payments should now be made through the SchoolMoney APP or website, User names and passwords have been sent out by text to the parent listed as first contact on your child’s school record. Please ensure any changes are provided to the office to ensure this is kept up to date and current.  A lunch is currently £2.30 a day.

Using this system all meals can be paid for online. This will help the office staff be even more efficient when dealing with requests and queries. This will also enable parents to pay for any school trips online too. If you are having difficulties in logging on to this system we are happy to support you in getting this up and running. Please do not hesitate to call the school office.

Lunches are well prepared from a healthy menu using fresh, and ‘home-made’ ingredients. Please notify us if your child requires a vegetarian option or a school packed lunch. Meals are £2.30 (£11.50 per week) payable in advance on Mondays.

Children of parents in receipt of Income Support are entitled to have free meals. Claim forms are available from the school office.

If you wish your child to have a packed lunch, then please make sure it is boxed properly and any drink is in a strong leak proof container.

We are not able to store packed lunches under cold conditions.

Our meals are provided by Edwards and Blake.
